TASCAM Model 2400 24-Channel Analog Recording Console Mixer Review
Tascam has released a new flagship interface mixer recorder. The Tascam Model 2400 does everything.
The TASCAM Model 2400 24-Channel Analog Recording Console Mixer seamlessly integrates multitrack recording with studio and live mixing.
I’ve been a long time Tascam user. I own a Tascam 388 Reel to Reel tape recorder, several Tascam portastudios, and many vintage Tascam and TEAC mixing boards. Tascam (TEAC) was at the forefront of the home recording revolution. Hit records are now made in home studios, and home recording is really the standard today instead of the exception.
When Tascam contacted me about the Tascam Model 2400, I was very excited! This machine is a mixer, a recorder, AND an interface all rolled into one. It has a built in analog compressor on every channel, a built in analog EQ, built in effects, a master buss compressor, and tons of routing options. This is an all-in-one solution which can solve many headaches for producers and engineers. DAW-less bedroom producers will fawn over it.
The model 2400 is going to be really popular with dawless recording enthusiasts. (These are people that prefer to record without the distractions of a computer, and instead with an all in one solution, just like people used to record back in the day.)
Tascam has been making cool recording gear for home recording hobbyists for decades, and I think this unit is going to generate a lot of excitement.
““Travis Raab first off is a great guitar player and a guy that I could just listen to play some kick ass lead guitar. Which is why I take lessons from him. He doesn’t get over complicated and will have you playing guitar like we all dream we can. Check out his site and decide for yourself but trust me you won’t go wrong..” -Bill Engvall (Comedian)”
